How I Spend My Lunch Break
I was surprised that Japan Women’s University has many different places where students could get food, such as the school cafeteria, the university store, and food trucks.
The school cafeteria has a new menu every month. It is always crowded with students at lunch time. In the university store, you can buy bread hot from the oven. There are many menu items and new menus are sometimes available. “Honey butter bread”, one of the most popular breads, is delicious. My friend and I are addicted to this. Also, food trucks come every day. The menu is different each day. There are a variety of menu items such as curry, chicken rice, crepes and so on. I am happy that there are many dishes I can have during my lunch break.
I often go to the university library when I don’t have class after my lunch break. There are big tables, and counters to use for self-study, and desks with laptops on them. When I went to the library for the first time, I was amazed at the structure and beauty. I love this space. I think it is good to use the library for taking a short nap, and self-study. I make progress on assignments, and I can prepare for qualification tests because I study in a comfortable environment.
Furthermore, I sometimes spend time at “kyousaikan” near the Gokokuji-gate. There are long desks, tables, and round-shaped sofas. Students are allowed to eat and chat in this space. I often go there when I would like to do assignments with my friend.
I have only been at Japan Women’s University for two months. I’m happy to spend time with my friends and in a nice environment.
大学でのお昼休みの過ごし方
私は日本女子大学には食堂や、購買、キッチンカーなどとご飯が食べられる場所が多いことに驚きました。
食堂毎月新しいメニューが食堂から出ます。お昼休みの時間帯はいつも生徒でいっぱいです。購買では、焼き立てのパンを食べることができます。メニューはとても豊富で、不定期で新しいパンのメニューも出ます。中でも人気の“はちみつバターパン”はとてもおいしくて、友達と一緒にはまっています。また、毎日キッチンカーが来ます。メニューは曜日で違っていて、カレーやチキンライス、クレープなどのメニューがあります。お昼休みにたくさんの種類のご飯が食べられることがとても嬉しいです。
お昼休憩の後に授業がないときは、よく大学の図書館に行きます。自習スペース用の大きなテーブルやカウンター、パソコンがあります。初めて図書館に入ったとき構造と綺麗さに驚きました。この空間が大好きです。少し仮眠を取るスペースとしたり、自習したりするのにとても良い環境だと思います。充実した環境で勉強できるので、課題や資格の勉強が捗ります。
さらに、護国寺門の近くにある杏彩館にも時々行きます。長机やテーブル、丸い形をしたソファーなどがあり、私語、飲食をしても大丈夫なスペースです。友達と一緒に課題を終わらせたい時はよくここに行きます。
大学生活が始まって二か月ほどしかたっていませんが、充実した環境で友達と過ごすことができて幸せです。
